The seven-year war has put most water sources out of service, either because they were destroyed by shelling or because they stopped working due to a complete power outage and insufficient fuel to run their generators. Therefore, it was necessary for Ghiras Al-Khair Humanitarian Association to provide clean water at the lowest possible cost and deliver it to the affected and most needy families in northern Syria, where Ghiras Al-Khair Humanitarian Association carried out several projects in which it was able to dig, operate and maintain some wells in northern Syria. It is noteworthy that Ghiras Al-Khair Association implemented several projects to distribute healthy drinking water to some areas where there are no underground wells, and in 2020 it was able to distribute potable water to more than 35,000 beneficiaries.
